Introduction of cemented carbide:
The cemented carbide produced in China is mainly divided into three categories:
1; class K（YG) Tungsten and cobalt, consisting of tungsten carbide and cobalt. This kind of cemented carbide has good toughness, but its hardness and wear resistance are poor. It is suitable for processing brittle materials such as cast iron, bronze and aluminum.
2; class P（YT) Tungsten, cobalt and titanium are made of titanium tungsten, titanium carbide and cobalt. This kind of hard alloy has good heat resistance and abrasion resistance, but its impact resistance is poor. It is suitable for processing steel and other ductile materials.(according to many years of experience in the factory, steel and other ductile materials suggested to use the third kind of YW alloy better!)
3; class M（YW)Tungsten, cobalt, titanium and niobium, also known as universal cemented carbide, consist of a small amount of rare metal carbides (TaC or NbC) in tungsten cobalt titanium carbide. It has the advantage of the former two kinds of cemented carbide, the tool made with it can not only process brittle materials, but also can process ductile materials, but also can process high temperature alloy, heat-resistant alloy and alloy cast iron, stainless steel and other difficult to processing materials.
