Iron head maintenance:

A. try to use low temperature welding
High temperature can make the iron head accelerate oxidation, reduce the tip life. If the tip temperature above 470 degrees Celsius, the oxidation rate of it is two times 380 DEG C.
Not too much pressure on B.
In welding, no pressure is too large, otherwise it will damage the iron head deformation, as long as the iron head can fully contact solder joints, heat can also choose the appropriate transfer, iron head can also help in heat transfer.
C. often keep the tip on the tin
This can reduce the chance of oxidation of iron head, the iron head is more durable. After use, should be the tip temperature slightly lower after adding new solder, the tin layer has better anti oxidation effect.
D. keep clean clean iron oxide, timely

E. with low flux activity
High activity or corrosive flux can accelerate the corrosion of the iron head in the heat flux, so should choose low corrosion.
